Green Warrior wants to combine aesthetic and ethical principles. The key element of the collection is an old brake parachute from 1972, which symbolizes the "braking" of the fast fashion industry. These materials from the german Bundeswehr* refer to the first priority of the Bundeswehr in defense. Green Warriors collection strifes to represents the defense of human rights and the environment in order to contrast the mainstream fashion industry, which is known as the second largest co-responsible industry for modern slavery according to the Global Slavery Index 2018. The collection distances itself from fashion trends and convinces with functional and simple design. The inspiration for my collection Green Warrior was the british designer Christopher Raeburn. The collection is aimed at adventurers, "nature-boys" and trend-rejecters. The wearer embodies the message of a "Green Warrior" and makes a statement against fast fashion.
*The term Bundeswehr covers the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany.
